Made using traditional maceration with pitted sloes to prolong the maceration process without the risk of it taking on a pitted flavor, resulting in a fruitier patxaran.

Part of a batch of 576 bottles of the only barrel-aged patxaran. Starting with our Gaizka patxaran made with pitted sloes, we wanted to age this premium patxaran in barrels with wood toasting, in the traditional style.

The use of barrels gives the patxaran nuances of vanilla and caramel, providing an elegant yet complex result.

Sloe, vanilla, wood, and anise are some of the aromas that greet us. Once tasted, the unctuous impact of the texture makes us want to explore the patxaran, finding a clear presence of the freshness of the sloes with echoes of fresh wood, which contrast with the presence and sweetness of notes of anise, cherry, and vanilla.
