The salt flakes are widely used in the haute cuisine that makes the Basque Country and its culinary capital, San Sebastian, famous. Try to renew your salt shaker on the table and serve a bowl of these scales so that each guest choose the variety you prefer. This is a trend in many restaurants.

Located in the town of Salinas de Oro, the salt mine is close to the Natural Park of Urbasa and Andia enclave with one of the few salt mines spring remaining active.

A family business, now in its third generation of this salt spring.

How the product is produced: The products are made by hand with water from saline deposits. The water accumulates in tanks and is then distributed to small pools.

The sun and wind evaporate the water, leaving the salt in the bottom of the pools. The salt is removed by hand, thus preventing contamination. It is then packaged and distributed to be enjoyed at your table.

Our free-range, Basque Country ham comes from pigs that were raised humanely in the mountains and spent much of their lives outdoors on Basque pasture land.

Fed on acorns, chestnuts and grass, the pigs are allowed to roam the Basque mountains to fatten up naturally. Each ham is then cured using salt and hung for over 2 years. The result is an indulgent-tasting ham that has a wonderful melt-in-the-mouth texture and a delicious nutty and salty taste.
