The wine is then allowed to age for at least 18 months in the French and Navarre oak barrels before another minimum of 18 months in the bottle. The result is a beautifully uniform, ruby-red wine. The nose is ripe black plum and red fruit with hints of cocoa, liquorice and spices. The palate is lively with spicy notes, long and complex. The wine maintains a delicious balance between acidity, alcohol and volume and the tannin is restrained on the palate.
Due to the skilled and precise processes used in the making of this wine, production is limited to 7,600 bottles.
